TANZANIA CAMPING & WALKING SAFARIS – 2015/ 2016
This camping safari is popular for those who are adventurous and love outdoor world and trekking as well as photographic safaris. This tour include a visit to type of safari include a visit to the local Maasai and Hadzabe tribes.

Day 1: ARRIVAL ARUSHA
Arrive Arusha (via Nairobi, Kenya or Kilimanjaro International Airport). Meet, greet and safari briefing by our representative and transfer to hotel/lodge for lunch or dinner (depending on arrival).
Day 2 –3: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we depart to Tarangire national Park. We arrive at campsite for lunch. We spend the afternoon on a guided walk, with a chance of visiting the local tribes. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania and is famous for its huge numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. Dinner and Overnight at Camp.
Day 3: LAKE EYASI – HADZABE COMMUNITY
After breakfast we head towards Lake Eyasi with picnic lunch. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, we will have the opportunity to meet the extraordinary ‘Hadzabe’ tribe (Hunter- gatherer bushmen). We will visit their homesteads; learn their way of life as well as their hunting techniques. Dinner and Overnight at a camp in Karatu.
Day 5 – 6: NGORONGORO CRATER
Head out towards Ngorongoro Crater. After lunch, descend inside the crater for a half-day game drive. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters, Ngorongoro crater offers everything from elephant to lion, the near extinct black rhino as well as large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Birdlife in the crate is prolific with flocks of flamingos on the soda lake Alternatively; we can visit the local Masai village. Here you will experience life and daily activities of the Masai people, who will also entertain you with their famous dance. Dinner and Overnight at Camp.
Day 7 – 8: NGORONGORO – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch via Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakey’s discovered the remains of Home Erectus, thus bringing a crucial understanding to the study of the evolution of mankind. The Serengeti is world- renowned for one of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom – the annual wildebeest migration in which a mass exodus of 1.5 million wildebeest together with 200,000 zebra & gazelles follow a 500-mile route from Tanzania to Kenya and back to Tanzania, culminating in the Southern Serengeti. Dinner and Overnight at Camp.
Day 9: SERENGETI – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Early morning drive and return to the camp for a late breakfast. After breakfast we head for Lake Manyara National Park. We visit Gibbs farm or plantation lodge for lunch, before proceeding to Lake Manyara. Dinner and Overnight at Camp.
Day 10: MTO WA MBU
After a leisure breakfast, we visit the local market and Mto wa Mbu village. Here we experience the local village setting, meet local people, learn about their history, culture as well as their agricultural practices. Back to lodge/camp for lunch and an afternoon relaxation by the pool. Dinner & Overnight at Camp.
Day 11: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – ARUSHA
Head out towards Arusha after breakfast, stopping to shop for souvenirs on the way. Dinner and overnight at lodge/hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to Kilimanjaro or Nairobi for a flight back home
